The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot promises that the next models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and move on if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the hidden bin and also washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something requires attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create or combine rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the best mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences.
